200 million Euros allocated for  acquisitions in Germany

This European-based group is acquiring residential investment portfolios throughout Germany.

They identified a market where the yields are substantially better than the UK market and with a low cost of funds, one could afford to retain the properties until there is a yield shift.

As a number of leading Investment Houses have reached the same conclusion and are buying in Germany, the client wished to have a fund allocation of initially 200 million Euros to support credibility with vendors and to be able to react quickly.

In fact we initially arranged funding for a test acquisition of some 19 million Euros.  Problems which inevitably occur during the legal and valuation process were resolved.  Further acquisitions so far totalling some 100 million Euros have completed.
